Where the data comes from
FinaQuotes market data is aggregated from multiple institutional and exchange data sources and normalized by FinaQuotes into a single format. Each asset class is served by several independent sources with automatic fallback, so the source of a given price may change over time.
Individual sources are not disclosed. Prices delivered by FinaQuotes are not official prices of any exchange or venue and may differ from prices shown by a specific broker, exchange or terminal.

Bid/ask, last price and indicative prices
Bid/ask quotes are two-sided prices used where the market is quoted on both sides, as in forex, spot metals and US stocks (level 1). Last price is the price of the most recent trade or the reference price published for the instrument, used for crypto, non-US stocks, indices, commodities and bonds; in the tick bid = ask = last. Delayed prices in the free widgets are always shown as bid = ask = last.
All prices delivered by FinaQuotes are indicative. An indicative price reflects the market level at the time it was received from the source, but it is not a firm quote: no one is obliged to trade at that price, and the price available for an actual trade may differ.
Candles, trading hours and history
Candles (OHLC) are available in 9 timeframes: 1m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1H, 4H, 1D, 1W and 1MN. The base timeframe is 1 minute, and higher timeframes are aggregated from it. All timestamps are in UTC.
- Stock candles are built only during the trading hours of the exchange where the stock is listed, with daylight saving time taken into account.
- Crypto trades 24/7, so crypto candles are continuous.
- Forex trades 24/5, from the opening of the week to its close.
- History depth: years of daily history and months of intraday history. Exact depth differs by timeframe and is listed in the documentation.
Gaps and corrections
Market data may contain delays, gaps and errors. If a source fails or delivers incorrect values, a backup source takes over, and data for the affected period may be corrected retroactively, including historical candles. Instrument silence is monitored, but a gap may still remain in history if no source delivered prices for that period.
Clients should design their systems to tolerate missing or corrected data, and should not treat a published candle as final.
