What the services include
FinaQuotes provides market data infrastructure for brokers, prop firms, trading platforms and financial websites. FinaQuotes is not a broker, not a liquidity provider and does not give investment advice. The services covered by these terms are:
- The market data feed: real-time quotes over WebSocket and historical candles, the instrument catalog and logos over REST. Access is granted on request through the "Get access" form and is provided under a separate agreement.
- Free widgets: market watch, ticker tape, symbol card, market overview and mini chart, configured in the builder on the website and embedded as an iframe. Free widgets are a public service offered at no charge and on an "as is" basis.
- Pro widgets: native widgets without an iframe, with real-time data across all asset classes and white-label styling. Pro widgets are provided under a separate agreement.
Relationship with individual agreements
Access to the feed and to Pro widgets is governed by an individual agreement signed with FinaQuotes. That agreement sets commercial terms, such as scope, fees and service levels. Where an individual agreement conflicts with these terms, the individual agreement prevails for the matters it covers. Everything it does not cover is governed by these terms.
Accounts and access keys
When access to the feed is granted, you receive credentials (an access key and a secret used to sign requests). The following rules apply to them:
- Keys are personal to the client named in the agreement and may be used only for the platforms and purposes agreed with FinaQuotes.
- You must keep keys confidential and must not share, sell or publish them, including in client-side code that third parties can read.
- You are responsible for all activity performed with your keys until you tell us they may be compromised.
- We rotate keys on request. If you suspect a leak, contact us without delay and we will issue new credentials.
- We may revoke keys that are used in breach of these terms or of the agreement, or that show signs of abuse.
Acceptable use
The data is provided for display to users of your own platform, application or website. Unless FinaQuotes has agreed otherwise in writing, you must not:
- Resell, sublicense or redistribute the raw feed or historical data to third parties, or make it available as a data product of your own.
- Circumvent rate limits, connection limits or other technical restrictions, or share one set of credentials across unrelated clients to avoid them.
- Scrape the website, the widgets or the API by automated means beyond normal use of the documented interfaces.
- Interfere with the operation of the services, probe them for vulnerabilities without permission, or send traffic intended to overload them.
- Use the services for unlawful purposes, or to mislead users about the origin, timeliness or nature of the data.
Terms for free widgets
Free widgets can be embedded without an account. In return, the following conditions apply to every website that displays them:
- The "by FinaQuotes" attribution is part of the widget. You must not remove, hide, cover or alter it.
- Exchange-traded instruments (stocks, indices, commodities and bonds) are shown with a 15-minute delay. Crypto, forex and metals are shown in real time.
- A free widget may contain up to 30 instruments.
- Free widgets refresh every 15 seconds. This is the refresh rate of the interface, not the delay of the data.
- We may change, limit or discontinue free widgets. Where a change materially affects existing embeds, we will give reasonable notice on the website.
Intellectual property
The website, the widgets, the documentation, the FinaQuotes name and logo, and the way the data is collected, normalized and delivered belong to FinaQuotes or its licensors. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
Subject to these terms and, where applicable, your agreement, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the services and display the data for the permitted purposes. Market data may be subject to rights of the venues and institutions where it originates, and you must respect any additional restrictions we communicate to you.
No investment advice
The data is provided for information purposes. Nothing on the website, in the widgets or in the feed is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, a recommendation, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any financial instrument. You are responsible for decisions you or your users make on the basis of the data.
Disclaimer of warranties
Market data may contain delays, gaps, errors and later corrections. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
We work to keep the services available and the data correct, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Any service level commitments, if given, are set only in an individual agreement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinaQuotes is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, trading losses, data or goodwill, arising from the use of or the inability to use the services or the data, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
For free services, including free widgets, our total liability is limited to the extent the law allows. For paid services, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the affected service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless your agreement sets a different limit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict access to the services, revoke keys or block widget embeds if we reasonably believe that these terms or an agreement are being breached, that the security of the services is at risk, or that continued access would expose FinaQuotes to legal liability. Where possible and lawful, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to fix the issue.
You may stop using the services at any time. Termination of a paid service follows the terms of the individual agreement. Sections that by their nature should survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability, remain in force after termination.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the services evolve or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows the latest revision. Material changes take effect no earlier than 14 days after publication, unless they are required by law or address security. If you continue to use the services after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator is established, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Before going to court, the parties will try to resolve any dispute through good faith negotiation. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence are not affected where they apply.
