Crypto market data feed: real-time spot prices and candles
The FinaQuotes crypto feed streams real-time spot prices for the top cryptocurrencies by market cap, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Each tick carries the last traded price, and every coin has OHLC candles on nine timeframes in UTC. Brokers, prop firms, trading platforms and financial websites get crypto from the same WebSocket and REST API as their other markets.

What is covered
The crypto set follows the top cryptocurrencies by market cap: the large coins that most clients look for first, plus the next names down the market cap ranking. Prices are spot prices, not futures or perpetual contracts.
The list grows over time, and new symbols appear in the feed without work on your side. The current catalog is on the instruments page and over REST; the coverage overview shows crypto next to the other six asset classes.
- Top cryptocurrencies by market cap, such as Bitcoin and Ether
- Symbols such as BTCUSDT and ETHUSDT
- Spot prices only, no derivatives
Quote format
Crypto is delivered as a single last price. The tick keeps the same structure as every other asset class, so both price fields carry the same value: bid equals ask equals last. If your product needs a spread on crypto, apply it on your side on top of the last price.

Sessions and hours
Crypto trades 24/7 and the feed follows it: prices stream through nights, weekends and public holidays, with no session open or close. That makes crypto the asset class that keeps a ticker tape or watchlist moving on a Sunday.
For your own systems this means there is no closed state to handle and no gap in the minute series at the weekend. Heartbeats and reconnects work the same as for other classes; see the feed documentation.
Candles and history
Every coin has OHLC candles on nine timeframes: 1m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1H, 4H, 1D, 1W and 1MN. The base series is one minute and higher timeframes are aggregated from it. Bars are aligned to UTC, so a daily crypto candle runs from midnight to midnight UTC.
Depth is years of daily history and months of intraday. See historical data for depth per timeframe and the REST reference for parameters.
Use cases
- Broker: add crypto prices to a multi-asset client area without a separate integration for a market that never closes.
- Trading platform: show spot crypto next to forex and stocks in one watchlist, with candles from the same API.
- Financial website: embed a crypto widget such as a ticker tape or mini chart; crypto runs in real time even on the Free plan.
