Bonds market data feed: government bond benchmarks and candles
The FinaQuotes bonds feed delivers government bond benchmarks, as yields or prices depending on what is available for each instrument, as a single last value in near real time during the hours of the underlying market. Every benchmark has OHLC candles on nine timeframes in UTC. It is built for brokers, platforms and financial websites that show rates next to equities and currencies.

What is covered
The bonds set is a compact group of government bond benchmarks: the reference points a market overview uses to show where rates are going. It is a benchmark set for display and context, not a full bond universe with individual issues, coupons and reference data.
Each benchmark is delivered as a yield or a price, depending on what is available for that instrument. The current list is on the instruments page and over REST.
- Government bond benchmarks
- Yield or price per instrument, as available
- Same symbol, tick and candle format as every other class
Quote format
Bond benchmarks arrive as a single last value. The tick structure is the same as for every other class: both price fields hold the same value, bid equals ask equals last, and the size field is zero.
When you display a benchmark, label it as a yield or a price to match the instrument, since the two move in opposite directions. Timestamps are in UTC milliseconds; see the feed documentation for the message reference.
Sessions and hours
Each benchmark streams during the hours of its underlying market. Outside those hours no new ticks are sent, and a subscription returns the last known value as a snapshot.
We describe bonds as near real time. Most updates reach you sub-second after we receive them, while some instruments carry the delay that applies on their exchange; that delay is passed through, not hidden.
Candles and history
Every benchmark has OHLC candles on nine timeframes, from 1m to 1MN. The base series is one minute and higher timeframes are aggregated from it. All bars are in UTC, so rates line up with stocks, indices and currencies on one time axis.
Depth is years of daily history and months of intraday, enough to chart how rates moved over several years. See historical data and the REST reference.
Use cases
- Broker: add a rates block to a market dashboard so clients see bonds next to indices and currencies.
- Trading platform: give users benchmark charts for macro context without a separate fixed income integration.
- Financial website: embed a widget such as a market overview with benchmarks; on the Free plan bonds are delayed 15 minutes.
Frequently asked questions
Do you deliver bond yields or prices?
Benchmarks are delivered as a yield or a price, depending on what is available for each instrument. Label the value accordingly in your interface.
Which bonds are included?
The set covers government bond benchmarks, not individual corporate or government issues. The current list is on the instruments page.
Are bond values real time?
Bonds stream in near real time during the hours of the underlying market. Some instruments carry the delay that applies on their exchange.
Why are bonds delayed in the free widgets?
The Free widget plan shows exchange-traded instruments, including bonds, with a 15 minute delay. Pro widgets and the data feed remove that widget delay; see pricing.
